What is the food manager's safety protection certification?
It's a health department required certification for Restaurant or Food Establishments in Westchester county and beyond. Call your local health department for clarification.
The ServSafe Food Protection Manager is the highest certification awarded by ServSafe. The certificate is earned by passing the ServSafe manager exam. The exam focuses on five aspects of food service and food safety.
Some people confuse this examination with the Food Handlers Certification. That's another examination and this certificate does not replace or substitute for the Food Manager's Safety Certification.
The test requires at minimum of 5-8 hours of study. Preferable by a qualified and certified Servsafe instructor. Westchester Food Safety offers this training in one day.
No ServSafe Food Protection Manager's Exam can be taken without a proctor.
